I provide various forms of psychotherapy and intervention with a multi-dimensional counselling approach. Individual Counselling

I work with clients in a safe, caring, and confidential environment while developing a collaborative relationship. Together, we explore and work through challenging aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change. Clients may seek therapy for a wide variety of reasons. I provide support and help clients in many ways from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to dealing with depression or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge, depending on the client’s unique needs and personal goals for therapy.

My counselling practice incorporates evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) Narrative Therapy,  Mindfulness-based approaches, and Attachment theory. 

Couples Therapy

I work with couples resolving problems and conflicts that they have not been able to handle effectively on their own. I work with both partners to discuss their thoughts and feelings in order to help them gain a better understanding of themselves and their partner.

My couple counselling practice integrates the Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

The Gottman Method of Couples Counseling is about teaching couples the skills needed to build a sound relationship. The Gottman Method is a skills-based approach to creating a strong relationship. By doing more of the right things, and doing less of the relationship-damaging things, you can make your relationship grow in the direction of greater intimacy and satisfaction.

With incorporating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I typically work with couples and families to help create and strengthen secure and lasting bonds. The main goal is to helping clients increase security, closeness, and connection in their intimate relationships.

Family Therapy

In my work with families, I help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Family members learn key strategies to better understand each other, support one another and work through difficult emotional distress in a safe and supported space.
